Thinkin' Outloud...

Office mate and I rolled the TV out of the conference room and we are now watching a Bronx Tale. Earlier we watched the Breakfast Club. I think the next showing will be, What's Love Got To Do With It.

Good times.

Very quiet here at the office. Just doing some editing and watching movies and trying to convince officemate to run out to Starbucks for some caramel macchiato's - extra caramel pls.

Man, this multi-tasking shit is a piece of cake.

Thinkin' Outloud...

I finally got my CPR and First Aid certification from the DOC.

Quick!

Do something that'll cause me to use my skills!

So when I came home from work yesterday I decided to take a nap. Woke up to the musical sounds of my cell phone. Did a quick phone screening to find it was big bro. Sent him to voicemail. Listened to voicemail to find that the airplane tickets I bought for him and my mom were pulled and he advised me to check my credit card to see if I was charged.

I was.

Frantic. Called the company I normally wouldn't purchase from and spent 2 hours on the phone. Two EXCRUCIATING HOURS being transferred from person to person with each call ending with "Can I help you with any car or hotel rentals before I transfer you?"

NO, MOTHER FUCKER.

Finally spoke to a sane person who I believe gave me the best customer service, ever, and who credited my account right then and there.

But let me tell you, at the same time this craziness was going on, I was on the phone with Nextel bitching them out because my new friggen cell phone kept cutting off.

Then today, I felt like I was getting my ass kicked OVER and OVER and OVER again. The heat in the building added to my stress. I tried to hide in one of the offices but that didn't work. I AM NOT SUPER WOMAN.

I'm also worried about big bro. He's off to Mexico. Why? Dunno. Gone 'till Sunday and he better not be doing anything stupid.

UGH.

I'm goin' to bed.

Thinkin' Outloud...

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter.

Mine was spent in bed, drooling away with a painful migraine that wished me a Happy Easter. Woke up and informed Sean I wouldn't be attending his mother's Easter brunch and hoped that he or his mother wasn't thinking I was faking it so I wouldn't have to go, then fell back asleep.

Woke up to a fresh pack of Aleve Cold and Sinus that Sean was kind enough to get for me while I was asleep. I was so happy when I saw it, I swallowed one down with a gulp of gatorade and fell back asleep. Woke up a couple hours later and watched the news. Still felt the side effects of having a migraine - nausea, dizziness so I layed in bed for another hour or so. Sean came home with a nice plate filled with ham, and all his mother's fixins. I finally got up, did laundry and washed dishes. I wish we had a dishwasher.

Other than the painful migraine today, Friday, K took us to see the house she's buying. Oh my it's such a beautiful house, built in the 1800's. There is a walk around fireplace in the kitchen, fireplace in the master bedroom, and another fireplace in the living room. The yard has a humongous vegetable garden and plenty of land for kids to play. We met the seller of the house who was kind enough to let us in even though she was asleep because she had to work a late shift. She sat and talked with us while Rosie, her champion pure bred Golden Lab entertained us. That house is the kind of house I hope to live in one day.

Saturday, Sean took me to my favorite Thai restaurant where we enjoyed a fabulous meal of Fresh Garden Rolls, Pad Thai (without nuts), Sesame Fried Rice, and Beef Penang. Later in the day, he helped me wash my car and I cleaned the inside of it. I heard it's gonna rain this week. Oh well. At least the salt's washed off of it.

Anyway, I'm off to do more work.

I hope you had a great weekend!
