Thinkin' Outloud...

You know, I feel at peace.
So, I thought that maybe, just maybe the Red Sox would win, but no, it wasn't in the cards.
I won't say anything more about it because the Chicago Cubs were truly in my heart to take it all.
Anyway, Sean thought today was a great opportunity to catch a movie since everyone would be home watching the game. He was right. We opted for a dinner AND a movie.
I usually watch Survivor on Thursdays at 8 P.M but I could only watch half of it because of the movie schedule and dinner.
We went to the Outback and there was maybe a dozen or so people at the bar watching the game and hardly anyone sitting down for dinner. We got a good spot for me to watch the game from a fair sized t.v. At that point the Sox had scored 4 points as I ate my loaded baked potato and Caeser Salad then we left to watch, KILL BILL which is an awesome flick in my opinion.
Kill Bill reminds me of back in the day when I used to watch corny Martial Art movies. I'm not sure if Tarantino captured the true vision but he sure came close. It is a movie I'd definitely want to have on hand to watch on a rainy day.
As we left the theater, we found out that it was a 5/5 tie so we rushed home to watch the rest of the game...As soon as I turned the t.v on, some guy who goes by Boone hit a home run.
Congratulations to the Yankees.
Kick some Marlin ass!

Thinkin' Outloud...

The Cubs put up a great fight but alas, they will not be going to the World Series. I hope either the Yankees or the Red Sox kick the Marlin's asses.

I wasn't going to watch Game 7 but I did anyway, my throat is sore from all the screaming.

I REALLY wish the Cubs would have won this...Me and the millions of other fans...there's always next year!

I hope my brother did not bet a lot of money on this game.

Thinkin' Outloud...

So the Cubs lost game 6 and I'm very disappointed. I thought they had it in the bag!
I don't know if my nerves can take watching game 7. I just hope they win because the CUBS deserve it.
The game was good though, alot of good plays by the Cubs and I did a lot of screaming, too.

Thinkin' Outloud...

I've gotten into a habit of creating a budget "Trading Spaces" style when I shop for groceries. Today for instance, I had gone to Roche Bros. to buy Coke for 77 cents each, limit 8. Well, I took $20 with me and decided to get the pop along with other items I needed that was under $20.
I got 8 bottles of pop - 5 coke, 3 sprite, a bag of rice, two instant pancake mixes, Extra Large Eggs, Land O'Lakes Butter, half a gallon of 2% milk, and ice cream 2 for 3 bucks.
(I know I am forgetting an extra item but I can't remember)
Anyway, I wasn't doing the math when I picked all of this stuff up because I couldn't imagine it would cost around $20. I decided that if I went over, I'd get rid of the ice cream. Well, it went about $19 and some change. YAY.

I am now savoring my coffee ice cream.
